I’m a travel and nature writer based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
My work focuses on the connection between people, place, and the environment. I have over 15 years of experience in print and digital journalism, and my writing appears in National Geographic, The Globe and Mail, AFAR, Vogue, and Sierra. As a copywriter, I create content for campaigns and editorial stories for clients such as Saje Wellness, lululemon, and Destination Canada.
If I’m not writing, you’ll find me reading a book, lacing up my hiking boots to explore B.C.’s Coast Mountains, or heading to the airport—it’s hard to keep me in one spot for too long. I’m drawn to wild, nuanced places and my story assignments have taken me around the globe. I’ve road tripped down Patagonia’s rugged Carretera Austral, followed in the footsteps of Alexander the Great to reach a remote Egyptian oasis, and spent two weeks rafting up Canada’s oldest river in the Arctic.
In all aspects of my life, I lead with curiosity and creativity, and I love understanding the world through storytelling.
